In 1986 Vasileiοs Theodoridis decides to make his youthful dream reality and founds a small tourism business. On a tiny olive grove at the bay of the fishing village of Plataria, right in the Ionian Sea, he builds with a lot of struggle and labor, a small taverna and calls it Elena's Beach, giving the name of his little daughter, Elena. His wife, Katerina, takes over the kitchen, and all three of their children help her in the taverna. Their relatives and friends help in the taverna as well and summers in Elena's Beach are really dreamy.

The small taverna becomes a favorite hangout for the years to come, both for Greek and for foreign visitors. Vasileios Theodoridis has in the meantime been planting hundreds of trees and flowers. Α small terrestrial effort shyly evolved to a great paradise, which very soon would meant a lot for tourism sector in the area of Igoumenitsa –Thesprotia.
